Ondo LG Polls: Adegbegi Emerges APC Candidate In Owo

Chief Samuel Adegbegi has emerged the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Owo local government area of Ondo State in the April 18 local government election in the state.

Chief Adegbegi emerged as the candidate of the APC after a consensus agreement was reached among the party leaders and other aspirants who contested for the position in the council area.

The other aspirants are Hon. Gani Omoluka and Alaba Ajipe, esq.

During the ratification, the State party Chairman, Engineer Ade Adetimehin urged Chief Adegbegi to carry along his co-contestants and other leaders of the party.

He also urged the aspirants to work for the victory of the party in the council polls.

Reacting, Chief Adegbegi thanked the party for the confidence reposed in him to fly the flag of the APC at the coming local government polls, adding that he won’t disppoint them going forward.

He appealed to other aspirants to see the party as one in order to emerge victorious at the polls.

Leaders of the party present during the ratification of Chief Adegbegi has consensus candidate of the APC include, the APC Chairman in the council, Chief Amujagboye; APC women leader in Owo LGA, Mrs Akinrogbe; and APC women leader in the state, Mrs Renike Witherspoon.

Others are former APC North Senatorial District Chairman, Hon. Osedimbola; Special Adviser to the Governor on Natural Resources, Hon. Fatai Olushina; Chairman local government service commission, Hon. Femi Idris; House of Assembly member representing Owo Constituency I, Hon. Oluwole Ogunmolasuyi among other.
