Barely two days to the governorship election in Ondo State, the appeal court sitting in Abuja has given the PDP Makarfi’s faction candidate, Mr Eyitayo Jegede the nod to contest this saturday’s election.
In a ruling by Justice Saulawa of the court of appeal, the court nullified the judgement of Justice Okon Abang of the federal high court and affirmed that Mr Jegede SAN is the authentic PDP candidate in Ondo State.
With the development, INEC is expected to change the PDP candidate to Mr Jegede.
It is however not clear if Mr Jimoh Ibrahim who had earlier been substituted to replace Mr Jegede by INEC would appeal the judgement at the apex court.
