Buhari Expresses Sadness Over Death Of Corper Ifedolapo, 2 Others

Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari has expressed sadness over the Death of Corps member Ifedolapo Oladepo who died at the Kano State orientation camp while embarking on the mandatory NYSC orientation camp for corps members in the country. 

 

Mr Buhari said,  “I am saddened by the deaths of 3 NYSC members during the 2016 Batch ‘B’ Orientation. It is sad and unfortunate. Chinyerum Elechi, Ifedolapo Oladepo & Monday Asuquo Ukeme, who passed on in Bayelsa, Kano and Zamfara respectively, died while answering the call to serve Nigeria.”
He also directed that the management of NYSC should investigate the circumstances which led to the demise of the Miss Oladepo.
“In particular I have asked for an independent investigation into the actual circumstances behind the death in Kano of Miss Ifedolapo Oladepo. The Management of the NYSC must continue to do all within its powers to protect the lives of those under its charge.”
“May the souls of the departed rest in peace, and may the Almighty God comfort the families and friends and colleagues they left behind.” The President prayed.
