Update: 490 Students Matriculated At UNIMED’s 2nd Matriculation

The University of Medical Sciences, Ondo City matriculated 490 students into thirteen (13) Programmes/Departments during the 2016/2017 Matriculation Ceremony of the University.

 

The Ceremony which was the 2nd Matriculation of the University started at exactly 10.00am on Tuesday, 11th April, 2017 at the Odosida Campus, Ondo city with the Governor of Ondo State and Visitor to the University, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu; S.S.G, Hon. Ifedayo Abegunde; HOS, Bar. Oluwatoyin Akinkuotu, Osemawe of Ondo Kingdom and High Chiefs in attendance.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Friday Okonofua, FAS in his opening remark appreciated the Governor and his entourage for finding time to attend the Matriculation, he noted that the University is poised to becoming the standard in medical education and training in Africa. He further said, in the next three years, the University will produce the first medical doctors in the history of Ondo State since her creation in 1976.
The Governor, Arakunrin Akeredolu while addressing the gathering congratulated the matriculating students and enjoined them to be hardworking and face their primary assignment in the University. He noted that Medicine is to science what Law is to humanity.
