Ondo FA Boss, Ajayi Salutes Eagles Over Togo Win

The Chairman of the Ondo State Football Association, Dele Ajayi has commended the Nigeria Super Eagles following an emphatic 3-0 win over the Hawks of Togo in an international friendly match which took place in Paris, France. 

 

Speaking after the match, Mr Ajayi who is also a board member of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF said the performance and the result will go a long way in giving the Nigerian team the needed confidence ahead of the 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifier against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa. 
“Am really pleased with the outcome of the match against Togo, not only the result but the performance as well.
“The match was a good preparatory ground for us ahead of the qualifier against South Africa and it will go a long way in boosting the morale and confidence of the team,” Ajayi noted.
Two goals by Ahmed Musa and another one by Kelechi Iheanacho were enough to give the Nigerians a comfortable 3-0 win over the Togolese as both countries prepare for the tasks ahead. 
Nigeria will confront South Africa on June 10 in Uyo in a qualifying match for the 2019 African Cup of Nations.
