The Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo state, Omo’ba Abayomi Adesanya says the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) will cease to exist by 2019.

Speaking with THE PRECISION in Akure, the Ondo state capital, Omo’ba Adesanya while reacting to the supreme court ruling last week which laid to rest the leadeship crisis in the PDP, said the party is already dead and that what remains with members of the party is carcass.
Mr Adesanya noted that the PDP lost it long ago during the Jonathan era when it failed to sell presidential primaries form to aspirants except the ex-president.
“Jonathan super imposed himself on the PDP that the party only printed one nomination form. Jonathan forced himself on the party by chasing away the founding fathers of the party.
“They may be rejoicing among themselves due to the recent victory, but when they were united they were beaten blue-black, not to talk of when they are in disunity,” Adesanya said.
The Ondo APC spokesman believed that the present crop of PDP members cannot provide opposition to the APC because many of them have corruption cases hanging on them.
He advised the PDP to toe the line of the APC by forming alliance with other political parties in order to stand the chance of gaining political power in 2019.
Omo’ba Adesanya debunked the idea that the supreme court ruling is a victory for democracy, adding that it is merely a victory for some members of the party.
