Nigeria’s Service Chiefs have arrived in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, in line with the directive of the Nigeria’s Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, to relocate from the country’s capital, Abuja, to the epicenter of the Boko Haram insurgency.

A Channels TV report said that the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai, was the first to arrive in Maiduguri among the service chiefs on Tuesday.
The report said that an aircraft conveying the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, would also be landing soon.
News Express reports that Osinbajo gave the order last week following a resurgence of devastating Boko Haram attacks that cast heavy doubts on the military’s claim that it had defeated the terrorists.
