The
Ondo State Head of Service (HOS), Barrister Toyin Akinkuotu says the new
Policy Development Plan tagged ” Blueprint To Progress” was a
compilation of reports of Strategic Development and Policy
Implementation Committee (SDPIC) constituted by Governor Oluwarotimi
Akeredolu (SAN).

The
Blueprint, which the HOS described as a veritable tool through which a
significant planning has been put in place for realization of any
aspirations of a real development.
In a press release by the Press officer, Office of the Head of Service, Oluwatope Akinjide and made available to THE PRECISION, Mr Akinkuotu said the development plan is to give a focus to this administration,
review all government activities on how to properly effect positive
change into the life of the good people of Ondo state
He
stressed  that it is a template through which viability of government
programs will be measured and necessary decisions will be made to
develop our state.

He noted the significant of planning, which can never be overemphasized in any
entity, saying ” he who fails to plan is planning to fail”. He said the
book is a compass to guide the direction of this government; a road map
for the first four years of this administration.
The HOS charged the Civil Servants in the state, most
especially the Permanent Secretaries and accounting officers in all MDAs
to have access to the book, saying it is the “Bible” of this government
on policies and programs for effective implementation.
He
further said all the council members in the state have been given a
copy each  by Mr. Governor,  but he said they can not do the work alone
without the public servants. He therefore calls for a proper
understanding of the documents  from all the top civil servants in the
service so as to make the implementation process a very successful one.
The
Ondo state Head of Service advised all the public servants to see the
policy documents as their work book, a rubric that will take them
through achieving the five cardinal programs of this administration
christened “Programmes of Change”.
The
Head of Service encouraged the Civil servants in the state to see
themselves so strategic in the implementation of these public policies,
which is largely their responsibilities s as a Public servants in the
state.
