Management of the Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti has shut down the institution after students went on rampage over the death of their colleague.
The girl whose name cannot be ascertained was said to have been rushed to the school Saturday health centre for medical treatment but was allegedly neglected by the health officials on ground which led to the death of the girl.
As the news of her death filtered to hostels, the students went on rampage burning down the health centre before moving to the main road, destroying properties and smashing windshields of commutters.
With the fear of losing all sanity, the school management had to shut down the school with the order that all students are to move out immediately. This order was issued just a little after 7pm.
