Super Eagles and Al Ahli of Saudi Arabia defender, Godfrey Oboabona has targeted the Pro league title following series of superb performances in the Saudi Arabian league.
Speaking after a Pro league match against Al Taawon which ended 1-1, the 2013 African Cup of Nations winner expressed the desire of his team, Al Ahli to win the title at the end of the current season.
Oboabona who has played eight (8) out of the ten (10) matches by the Jeddah based team this season, said the team is not being carried away by its position at the top of the table.
“It’s very nice to see us at the top of the table and we are enjoying every moment of the game, I missed the first two matches of the season due to malaria problem”.
“We are aware of what is at stake and the challenges ahead, we are experienced enough to know that nothing is won at this stage and that is why we are working hard to keep our focus”.
Al Ahli who are topping the table with 21 points from 10 matches will confront Al Quadisiya in their next match.
