Expectedly, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti state has swept through all seats at the 2017 local government election held today (Saturday).

| Eksiec officials and returning officers for the 16 local governments
The result of the election has announced by the Ekiti State Independent Electoral Commission showed that PDP won all the 177 councillorship seats and 16 chairmanship position as contested.
The election was contested by five political parties, excluding the main opposition, the All Progressives Congress (APC) making the PDP to coast to victory with little or no challenge from other four political parties.
