Dr. Rhoda Makinde Initiative (DROMI) has come to the aid of Mr Timilehin Yinusa, a 200 Level Medicine and Surgery Student of University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), Ondo, who was on the verge of dropping out of school, before DROMI intervened in offsetting his school fees.

The young brilliant Ondo son enjoyed scholarship for a single session (2016/2017 Academic Session) from the University due to his performance at the POST-UME exams. He didn’t rest on his oars and performed exceedingly well with a First Class CGPA of 4.61.
With the exams in the sight in matter of six days and the parent unable to pay for the new session’s (2017/2018 Academic Session) school fees, all hope was bleak according to the father, who noted that “he is a very serious boy, I have issues sponsoring his education since I had accident two years ago, I have not been able to sleep for some months now and cried when I learnt the school cannot renew his scholarship due to paucity of funds in the University”.
A letter of request for financial support was sent to Dr. Rhoda Makinde Initiative (DROMI). Due to the urgency and critical situation of the case, the DROMI team met and approved the request and wrote a cheque in favour of Mr. Timilehin Yinusa, which was presented at the Office of the Dean Student Affairs of the school.
Dr. Yemisi Jeff-Agboola (Dean of Student Affairs) who represented the Vice Chancellor, appreciated DROMI for the timely intervention and noted that the University Community is really happy for the gesture.
