Manchester City have emerged champions of the 2017/2018 Premier League with five matches still to end the season.

They became impossible to catch when the unexpected happened minutes ago, with bottom club West Brom beating hosts Manchester United by an unreplied goal in front of their home fans at Old Trafford.
The unthinkable happened in the 72nd minute when manager-less West Brom, playing under a caretaker coach for the fourth time this season, broke the deadlock.
It started with a Chris Brunt corner from the right flank, which in-form striker Jay Rodriguez headed into the net, after Nemanja Matic failed to clear in the box.
All efforts by Jose Mourinho’s men to equalise hit a brickwall, thus handing City Manager Pep Guardiola – who was away playing gulf with his son – his first English Premiership title.
