ODSG Recruits 50 Administrative Officers | The Precision

As
parts of efforts geared towards improving its workforce, strengthening
the civil service to achieve a better service delivery in Ondo State, the
State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, has approved the
appointment of 50 Administrative Officers to boost the work force of the
state civil service. 
Speaking with journalists in
Akure, the Ondo State Capital, the Chairman of the State Civil Service
Commission, Dr Afolabi Adewakun, said “The new officers consists of 15
in – service personnel who are already in the service and were recruited
via inter-cadre transfer/conversion into the Administrative Officers’
Cadre and 35 new officers, and had since assumed duties and deployed to
various Ministries, Agencies and Extra Ministerial Departments, through
the office of the Head of Service”.
 
Dr. Adewakun
added that the recruitment process of the Administrative Officers
started in August 2016 but could not be given their employment letters
by the last administration, however, it was now released  upon the
approval of Governor Akeredolu.
 
The Chairman of the Civil Service Commission noted that young Administrative Officers were last recruited into the system in 2010.
 
Reacting
to the development, the Commissioner for Information and Orientation,
Mr Yemi Olowolabi reiterated the determination of the Akeredolu led
government in the state at ensuring continuity in programmes and
policies inherited from the last administration that were aided at
improving the well-being of the people of the state and improve on them
where necessary, noting that government is continuous. 
 
He
added that the present government would continue to promote good
governance and adherent to the promises made to the people of the state
during its campaign to improve on their well being. 
 
Olowolabi congratulated the
newly recruited officers and urged them to be dedicated to their duties.
