Ifedayo Daramola: Scholar And Author Dies I The Precision

The death has occurred of a Journalism scholar and author,  Dr Ifedayo Daramola, aged 60 years.

A statement signed for the department by Dr Olugbenga Abimbola confirmed the death of the media scholar.
 
Daramola was until his death the head, department of Mass Communication,
Adekunle Ajasin University,  Akungba-Akoko (AAUA), Ondo State.

He had worked with the then MAMSER, and later Lagos State Polytechnic before joining the services of AAUA.

He wrote several books in his field including Introduction to Mass
Communication, Mass Media and Society,  Media Law and Ethics,  among
others.

He was a member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations,  Nigerian
Union if Journalists and Academic Staff Union of Universities.

Daramola holds a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication as well as
Master’s degrees in Political Science and Mass Communication from the
University of Lagos, and Ph.D in Mass Communication from  Babcock
University, Ilisan-Remo,  Ogun State.

He is survived by wife and children.
