Governor of Ekiti state, Ayo Fayose has ordered the suspension of payment of the statutory salary, grants and furniture allowance to twelve PDP members of Ekiti State House of Assembly who allegedly voted for Prince Dayo Adeyeye during the last PDP primary election in the state.

Sources close to the governor confided in one of the affected members few hours ago that the governor allegedly directed the Speaker, Kola Oluwawole, to inform the Clerk, Mr Tola Esan to stop the payment of the allowance to the affected members as a punishment for their loyalty to Prince Dayo Adeyeye.
The source further said that Governor Fayose accused the twelve members of anyfraternizing with an APC lawmaker who he alleged of planning to invade the Assembly soon.
According to an Assembly source, the twelve lawmakers have since been marked for various degree of punishments immediately after the primary election.
“They have been marked for punishment. They have become very disloyal to Mr Governor. These affected members were accused of working for Adeyeye during the primary election. So it is  not surprising to hear that are being punished by the governor.”
Meanwhile, the Minority Leader of Ekiti State House of Assembly Hon Gboyega Aribisogan has berated the governor and described the action of the governor as punitive .
According to him, “Ayo Fayose has become jittery. He is afraid of his shadows.
Accusing me of plotting to invade the Assembly  complex with other members is not only spurious but very insulting. I’m a civilize person. I don’t thrive in impunity and brigandage like the uneducated governor. He is a drowning man who is looking for something to hold for survival “
