… Osho Expects Interesting Encounter in Lagos.

Remo
Stars Football Club (RSFC) will travel yet again away from home in
Match Day Two (2) of the Nigeria National League (NNL) against
Stationery Stores at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere in Lagos.
The encounter is scheduled for Saturday, 5th of May, 2018
and It’s going to be one of the interesting numerous fixtures in Group
B2 of the league as the Sky Blue Stars look forward to picking another
three important points on the road while the host would put all their
arsenals in order to get maximum victory in front of their home fans.
The
Sky Blue Stars are the only away side that got all maximum points away
from home in the first match of the 2017/2018 opening fixture after
Ogwuche Mathias latched onto a pass to convert brilliantly for his side
in the 63rd minute against the Omoluabi Giants in Oshogbo last weekend.
The
Sagamu Based side is placed joint second on the log, keeping clean
sheets alongside Crown FC and Nnewi United in the first game of the
season.
Meanwhile, the
oldest surviving club in Nigeria, Flaming Flamingos played out a
goalless draw at the Teslim Balogun Stadium when they played away to
fellow Lagos side, Ikorodu United in Lagos.
The
last time both sides met in a competitive competition was far back as
the 2014/2015 NNL season where the Sky Blue Stars defeated Stationery
Stores 2-1 at the Onikan Stadium in Lagos and the return leg saw both
sides play out a 1-1 draw at the Otunba Dipo Dina stadium in Ijebu Ode.

Captain
of the side, Oshobe Shuji and experienced right back, Awoyemi Abiodun
are back from injury and might be given a nod in the encounter, Afolabi
Abiodun is still out due to injury but the rest of the team are in good
shape for the match.
Samson
Omiponle tutored side will be relying on his trusted players to deliver
maximum points at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos.
The
flaming flamingoes kept a clean sheet last weekend and will be looking
to replicate the same feat against the Sky Blue Stars over the weekend.
A victory for the Sky Blue Stars will see them have 6points even before their first encounter at home against Delta Force FC.
Meanwhile, Remo
Stars Football Club (RSFC) Technical Adviser, Fatai Osho has indicated
that the Match Day Two (2) in the Nigeria National League (NNL) will be
an interesting match on Saturday in Lagos.

Fatai Osho
The
Sky Blue Stars will travel to take on Stationery Stores FC at the
Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere in one of Group B2 fixtures in the
second tier of Nigeria Football.
Speaking
with RSFC Media, Osho feels that the away victory against Osun United
FC has come and gone and it’s time for him and his wards to look towards
the next game in Lagos.
“Honestly,
I will tell you It’s still early days whether we got the maximum points
away from home or not, there is still much for teams including
ourselves to rally round to get things in our way, we don’t have to
start looking at that but to get the positives because we believe we can
still do it somewhere else, when we talk of the winning mentality in an
away ground, these players want to believe it is quite possible because
they have done it already.”
“The
next thing for us is to see every match as a cup, it’s a match at a
time. Osun United game is gone and we have to look ahead to Stationery
Stores. Luckily for us, we played them in a friendly during the
preseason, we know them quite well and they know us very well. It is
going to be an interesting encounter going to Lagos, we also want to see
what we can get in that match and put us in a very good position to
qualify from that group.”
Speaking
about picking maximum points in Lagos, Osho Fatai says everybody would
always fancy their chances over any of their opponents.
“With
due respect to all the teams and just like them, if they are the one
coming to Sagamu, they would also want to fancy their chances of coming
here to get a point here and that’s the way we are also looking at it.
If we can get good result on the road, it stabilizes the team, the self
confidence comes in, self believe also sets in and we can actually push
ahead from there to get results.”
“It
will be a great thing for us to get the points in Lagos and we are
already preaching this to the players but it’s not going to be an easy
task, it’s really going to be a daunting one, we believe it is something
quite achievable for us and that’s the way we are looking at it.”

“We
are quite aware that it was really a disappointing outing in the last
Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) and if there is anything we
have to bring these fans and make them forget everything that happened
is the ability to get back to topflight football as quickly as possible
and the fans should expect the best from the team.”
“Luckily
for us, the management did a wonderful job for us in terms of
preparation, I can recollect quite well that we were the first club in
Nigeria to resume and kick off our preseason. We took a three week break
and we returned to camp to partake in different competitions, we played
close to a hundred friendly matches. It is amazing and I find it
difficult to realise that we played that much, it explains why we have a
strong footing going into the NNL.” Osho said.
