Senator Ademola Adeleke has emerged as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governorship candidate in Osun state.

Senator Ademola Adeleke who hails from Ede floored other aspirants to emerged as the party flag bearer at the delegate system primary election, conducted by Bayelsa State governor, Seriake Dickson alongside former governor of Niger state, Babangida Aliyu.
A total  number of four aspirants were in the race while others opted out before the commencement of the election.

Senator Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke, representing Osun West Senatorial District; Fatai Akinbade, former People Democratic Party chairman and former chief of staff to Osun State government, Barrister N. O. Oke and insurance guru, Akin Ogungiyi contested for the party’s flag bearer.
