Local government election across Ondo state council areas will now hold on Saturday, 1st of December, 2018.
This is according to the state independent electoral commission (ODIEC), THE PRECISION can understand.

Earlier in the year, the state governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu constituted the state electoral commission members with the intention of conducting the election in the first quarter of the year.

The chairman of the commission, Prof. Yomi Dinakin who announced this development at a stakeholders’ meeting held at the headquarters of the commission in Akure, noted that according to the 2018 guidelines, chairmanship aspirants are to make available non-refundable nomination fee of N50,000 while those seeking Councillor positions are to pay N20,000.
