2019: Akure Muslim Community Sues For Peace

The Chief Imam of Akure, Alhaji Abdulhakeem Yayi-Akorede and notable Imams in the state capital have organised a prayer session for the political aspirants of parties across the state.

The event was organised at the central mosque in Akure, Ondo state capital.

The prayer as led by the Chief Imam of Akure Central mosque Alhaji Yayi-Akorede was channelled towards ensuring a peaceful and violence free election in the state and across the country in the forthcoming elections.

Present among the candidates are Hon. Simeon Toluwani Borokini the APC Akure South Constituency 1 candidate, Mr Sunday Olajide of the Akure South Constituency 2 of the All Progressives Congress, Senator Tayo Alasoadura who was represented by his Senior Legislative Aide Hon. Wale Alake, Dr Wahab Adegbenro, Ondo State Commissioner for Health, Chief Olu Ojo, Akure South APC chairman amongst others.

The candidates appreciated the concern of the Muslim community towards the forthcoming elections as they assured them of a stable election process in the state.
