Normalcy has returned to Ekiti State University following protest by students of the institution against what they described as indiscriminate arrest of some students by officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The protest led to the students blocking the highway that pass through the University campus forcing many commuters to take alternative routes to their destinations.

The situation persisted for over five hours before the intervention of men of the Ekiti state Police Command.
