AUO Matriculation: Alumnus Tasks Students On Creativity

“Creativity is the key to success”.

These were the words of Achievers University, Owo (AUO) Alumnus, Mr Kayode Akomolafe to new students of the University who matriculated on Friday 14th February at an event held at the institution’s Trinity hall.

Mr Akomolafe who was the guest lecturer for the matriculation charged the students to be creative and make the better use of their time while on campus.

He added that much is expected from them since their parents have invested a lot on them.

The guest lecturer who was instrumental to the composition of the University’s anthem stated that the opportunity given to him to deliver the matriculation lecture is a rare one, adding that his presence was based on “sheer creativity and a bold emphasis on the university’s continued efforts, as emblemed in her motto to raise global leaders who not only possess academic knowledge but have sound integrity”.

He highlighted some vital points to success and creativity in life to include, having a goal, sharing the goal, being one’s brother’s keeper, among others.

According to him, the individual is the greatest obstacle to achieving anything he or she set out to achieve here on earth, hence, the need for the individual to be focused and guide against laziness and act of indiscipline.

Akomolafe in his concluding words noted that “Achievers University is a gate that opens you up to the world and the rest of your life”, adding that the matriculating students should make the best use of every time and opportunity they have.
