…Says Akeredolu’s Integrity Responsible For Successes At Ondo-Linyi Industrial Hub

The Chief Executive Officer of Klick Konnect Networks International Limited, Chief Alex Ajipe says the first set of Trucks and Cars to be assembled at the Ondo-Linyi Industrial Hub will be out by June this year.

Chief Ajipe stated this while briefing online media practitioners in Ondo state on the achievements recorded at the Ore industrial hub being managed by its consulting firm.

Ajipe added that the successes being recorded at the Industrial hub in Ore, Southern district of Ondo state is largely hinged on the integrity of the Governor of the state, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN.

He noted that Governor Akeredolu’s passion to drive the economy of the state has led to the takeoff of the project which he said will provide 20,000 direct jobs when fully operational in June.

Ajipe who is a fellow chartered consultant disclosed that the role of Klick Konnect Networks in the industrial hub is that of managerial, adding that the public relations firm has been blocking loopholes for the government since it came on board three years ago.

He stated that Klick Konnect successfully increased the internally generated revenues of an agency in the state from 400 million to 800 million in its first year of managerial role.

“what we did was to ask questions and ensure that the rules and regulations are followed.

“when you are given an order to lift 10 trees from the forest, ours is to ensure that the firm lifted the approved 10 trees for instance and pay the necessary statutory charges on the trees to the state government and that is what we have been doing here, we do not collect the money for the government,” he said.

Ajipe noted that the partnership between the state government and the Linyi city in Shanghai province, China which birthed Ore Industrial Hub was facilitated by his company, Klick Konnect.

“Linyi city is a city with 11 million population and the agreement was the first bi-city agreement ever signed in Nigeria.

“Governor Akeredolu himself visited the Linyi city in China to sign the agreement with the Mayor of Linyi and the partnership has birthed employment, empowerment and corporate social responsibility.

“At the industrial hub, we are already producing textile, marine board, HDF, thread and a host of others.

“we also intend to produce battery while the assembly plant will start producing the first set of trucks and cars by the middle of the year.

“if you go to the hub, you will see that every aspect of the economy is touched with the investment put in place by the state government,” he said.

Chief Ajipe also disclosed that the agreement has also seen a modular processor for Cassava coming up in Ogbagi, Emure, Ilara, Ilu Abo and Omotoso which has ensured that Farmers have value on their Cassava sales.

“Our cassava to Ethanol project has really changed the narratives as 20,000 farmers raised through the initiative now have value for their hard labour with about N1.2bn transactions
made in 10 days.

“we are also looking at kick starting a cement company at Okeluse, in Ose local government area of the state which will be producing at average of 1,000 tonnes per day.

“As soon as we get the clear signal from the federal government, the project will start in full fledge.

“And can confidently tell you that the agreement we went into with the Chinese has turnaround the fortunes of Omotoso and Ore in the southern district of the states with 80 percent of the people working there been indigenes and residents of the state,” Ajipe said.

With about 50 staff working at the headquarters in Akure and over 250 field officers, Klick Konnect Networks was established in 2006 and has presence in Europe, Canada and the Americas.

Mr Olufemi Olatigbe, Principal Consultant; Mr Tunde Adebiyi and Mr Dunsin Oluwasuji, esq were among the top officers of the PR firm that graced the media briefing.
