Globally, more than 1 million people diagnosed with the virus have recovered from the disease.

The Ondo State Government says there’s no cause for panic as the first index case recorded in the state, self-isolated himself upon return to the country.

Donald Ojogo, Hon. Commissioner for Information and Orientation in the state while giving an update on the case index disclosed that he is a military officer who returned from India recently and observed all possible directives regarding coronavirus containment in self isolation.

He said, “Government considers it necessary to allay the fears of the people that the confirmed index case, an Army officer had voluntarily isolated himself as soon as he arrived the country from India over a week ago.
