As the political parties in Ondo State begin their party primary elections today Monday in Ondo State, the Chief Imam of Akure, Sheikh AbdulHakeem Yayi Akorede has called on all aspirants and their followers to shun acts that can be inimical to the peaceful coexistence of the people living in State.

The Cleric stressed that the contestants should have it at the back of their minds that only one person would emerge from the contests and that they can’t all be winners.

He said the whole nation is watching Ondo State, hence the need to maintain law and order.

“The overall winner at the end of the game should have the humility and courage to invite other contestants for cooperation and collaboration so that Ondo State can peacefully move on with development which we all desire after the Governorship contest”, he said.
