Ondo 2020: Omotoso Wins AAC Primaries

The African Action congress (AAC) has elected Mr Samuel Tope Omotoso as its governorship candidate for the October 10, 2020 gubernatorial election in Ondo state. 

Samuel Omotoso polled 77 votes in the indirect primary election which had delegates from the 18 local government areas of the state, to lead his closest challenger, Mr Usman Rafiu Oladimeji who polled 9 votes. 

Declaring the winner of the election,  the National Treasurer of the party,  Mr Francis Abayomi said the party is ready to contend with other parties in the forthcoming governorship poll. 

While speaking, the elected candidate of the AAC, Mr Samuel Omotoso expressed his commitment to lifting the burden of the masses if elected as governor of the state. 

Also speaking, the state chairman of the party, Comrade Israel Ayeni said the party is ready to put the people first if elected into office. 

Officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security operatives were present at the AAC primary election.
