The selection of the new Olowo of Owo is currently going on at the palace in Owo, TVC news is reporting.
The new Olowo is expected to emerge through a voting process. There is heavy presence of security personnel at the old palace where the election is holding .
The stool became vacant following the demise of Oba Victor Folagbade Olateru Olagbegi. The result of the election will be communicated to the state government for ratification
