The rebuilding of the People’s Democratic Party Secretariat which was destroyed by hoodlums under the EndSARS protest last month in Ondo State has commenced.
The party’s stalwart and former governorship aspirant in the state, Mr Goddey Erewa had of two weeks ago announced his intention to sponsor the rebuilding of the party, and therefore started the foundation laying yesterday, Monday 10, 2020 with a promise to get it ready by December.
Speaking during the foundation laying event, Erewa said his aim of shouldering the reconstruction of the burnt party secretariat was to further unite the party in the state.
The Ilaje born business mogul said that rebuilding the party secretariat would enhance an efficient secretariat duties, coordination of members and preparations for further political activities.
Mr Erewa announced that the structure would be inaugurated before the end of December , this year.
In his remarks PDP state chairman Mr Fatai Adams appreciated Mr Erewa for the gesture and noted that the goodwill would strengthen the party and reposition the party for a more successful political activities.
Those who graced the foundation laying ceremony included the party’s governorship candidate, Mr Eyitayo Jegede (SAN), former Nigeria Ambassador to Uganda and deputy Governor, Otunba Omolade Oluwateru, State party chairman ,Mr Fatai Adams among others.
