Governor of Ondo state, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu says there are some human beings who won’t die.

Akeredolu stated this in Ilara, Ifedore Local Government Area of the state during the maiden memorial lecture in honour of his former Health Commissioner, Dr Wahab Adegbenro, who died on June 2, 2021.

He said his own belief is that there are some people who won’t die.

Using the second coming of Jesus Christ as an analogy, Akeredolu said doing goodness is synonymous with living forever.

He said the late Adegbenro was lucky having been appointed as commissioner twice in the state.

Akeredolu added that Dr Wahab Adegbenro lived a life of goodness.

“His hospital was a reference point for many people because of philanthropical gesture. He was a great general in our fight against covid-19. He was resilient in the fight. When we were fighting the covid-19 cause, he was always active, so he couldn’t even take care of himself.

“He did a great job during the fight against covid-19. He would coordinate the process until he died in the battle. He was the one who brought my covid-19 results. A lot had been said about him and I wish we can take one or two things from his lifestyle,” Akeredolu said.

Earlier, the Chief Imam, Khaleel Fawehinmi mosque located in the Governor’s house, Alhaji Yunus Anola said everyone to his destiny, adding that whatever an individual will be in life is a function of destiny.

Anola who gave the public lecture said everyone would taste death, hence the need to live a good life.

Other dignitaries who were present at the event included, the wife of the Governor, Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu; Imam Owo, Ahmad Aladesawe and Imam Akure, AbdulHakeem Akorede.

Top Government functionaries and family members of the deceased including the wife, Toyin Adegbenro were present at the event.
