Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari is yet to arrive Nigeria over 24 hours after departing New York, USA where he had attended the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
The Precision NG first observed the absence of the President on Sunday evening when he was officially due to arrive the country.
Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina had in a statement on September 18, stated that Mr Buhari will attend the UNGA and return to the country on Sunday.
“President Buhari is expected back in the country on Sunday, September 26,” the statement read in part.
A further check on the Facebook profile of his Personal Assistant on Broadcast Media, Buhari Sallau showed that the President is yet to arrive the country as at the time of putting this report together.
Sallau known for posting pictures of the activities of the President had posted on his page pictures of his departure from New York on Saturday, September 25 at exactly 5:11pm Nigeria time.
From all indications, the hours of traveling from Abuja, the nation’s capital to New York venue of the UNGA is about 13 hours if we are to go by the information from the Presidency.
The Precision NG recalled that at the departure of President Buhari on September 18 to New York, pictures of his departure and arrival shared by Mr Sallau indicated a difference of about 13 hours.

As it stands, there is no official statement from the Presidency about the whereabout of the President.
Though, the President after departing the UNGA often had a stopover in London for his medical treatment, there’s no indication from the Presidency that Mr Buhari would have a stopover in London this time.
