A leading Governorship Aspirant in Oyo State come 2023 who is also the Osi Basorun of Ibadanland, Chief Dr. Azeez Popoola Adeduntan on Thursday, paid glowing tribute to the late former Governor of the state, Senator Abiola Ajimobi on his 72nd posthumous birthday.
Chief Dr. Adeduntan – a former Health commissioner in the state, in a realease by his media office in Ibadan, described late former Governor as an unforgettable asset to the people of Oyo State.
The International cardiovascular Surgeon and the President, Adeduntan Cardio Vascular and Diagnostic Centre (ACDC) IBADAN, said it was heartwarming that the late APC Acting National Deputy Chairman’s memory remained evergreen.
Adeduntan urged former first lady, Mrs Florence Ajimobi and children as well as members of his family to continue to keep the memory alive for the guidance and inspiration of the current and subsequent generations.
“Some of the legacies left behind by late Ajimobi in the areas of security of lives and properties, investment in education, introduction of Oyo State Health Insurance Scheme, rehabilitation of moribund ring road and ADEOYO maternity hospitals, upgrade of schools of NURSING and health technology to colleges, bringing primary health care centres under the same roof, all round development of other sectors are yet to be marched by anyone.
“As the family remembers this awesome personality, it gladdens the heart that his memory remains evergreen. Please, keep this alive, for the guidance and inspiration of the current and subsequent generations.
