Over 200 Secondary School graduates have benefitted from free Jamb forms sponsored by the Lawmaker representing Owo Constituency 1 at the Ondo State House of Assembly, Hon. Oluwole Ogunmolasuyi.

The gesture according to the Lawmaker is part of the regular intervention programmes to support the education of students in his constituency.

The Lawmaker who is also the Majority Leader of the House said the decision to pay the registration fees was to encourage children of the poor to attain higher education.

According to him, “Education is the power and it is only with sound education that any individual can acquire knowledge to break the shackles of poverty as well as become self-reliant”.

He also identified education as the panacea to societal ills such as Boko Haram insurgency, armed robbery, prostitution and other criminal activities.

“It is only through Education that we can stop all these criminal activities in the society, when a child is educated he or she will know what is best for him or her, and the society will be in peace”

He therefore promised not to relent in his efforts towards advocating for quality Education particularly for less privileged Students.

Chairman, Owo Local Government Area, Mr Samuel Adegbegi described Hon Ogunmolasuyi as an advocate of quality education, who has initiated and sponsored numerous educational development programmes in the Local Government.

Some of the Beneficiaries thanked the Lawmaker for the gesture and promised to make him proud by reading to pass the Examination.

The intervention which is the seventh of its kind covers beneficiaries from the nooks and crannies of Owo Local Government Area.
