Bola Ahmed Tinubu has taken the oath of office as the new President of Nigeria.
He is the 16th President of Nigeria.
The oath of office was conducted by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola at exactly 10.40AM.
Mr Tinubu was accompanied by his wife, Remi and his children.
President Muhammadu Buhari and wife, Aisha, as well as Yusuf Buhari accompanied President Tinubu to the stage.
President Tinubu later signed the dotted lines committing himself to rule by the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The flag was later lowered and presented to former President Muhammadu Buhari and who later hand over the new colors to the new President.
At the moment, President Tinubu is inspecting the guards of honour in company of his security aides.
Earlier, Kashim Shettima was sworn-in as the Vice President of Nigeria.
Mr Shettima was accompanied by his wife, Nana and son.
