Speaking with the NIMC team from the southwest regional office, covering Ondo and Ekiti states, the governor emphasized the importance of data in planning for government programs, projects and policies in every sector.

He lauded the NIMC for its new initiatives aimed at making life better for Nigerians.

“The news of the introduction of the e-id card is encouraging, as it will help to solve insecurity and promote financial inclusion. It is also an indication that government agencies are really working. Our government will definitely partner with you in many areas” the governor assured the NIMC management.

Earlier in her remarks, the NIMC regional coordinator for southwest 2, Fumnanya Onadeko, disclosed that the new e-id card will function like bank cards, urging the state government to deploy it for conditional cash transfers.

Requesting for collaboration, the Controller, Ondo state command of the Federal Fire Service, Adeyemo Martins, asked the state government to come to their aid in the area of infrastructure to enable them service the people of the state efficiently.
