Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has assured the people of Ose Local Government that he will fulfill his promises on enhancing the security of their area and completing all abandoned road projects.
The Governor said he does not make empty promises and will deliver on his words to make Ondo State a better place for all residents within his full term in office.
Governor Aiyedatiwa made this assertion on Saturday during his campaign tour of Ose Local Government, where he visited several communities and engaged with stakeholders, including traditional rulers.
At the palace of the Alani of Idoani, Oba Major General Olufemi Olutoye (Rtd), the Governor said: “Unlike other candidates making promises they won’t fulfill, I don’t believe in empty words. I will put in the action and deliver good governance.
“We know what the people of this region want even before they ask for it, which is why my Special Adviser on Infrastructure has been tasked to take note of your needs and report back for immediate action.”
While promising to continue to address the security concerns in the area, Governor Aiyedatiwa also pledged to complete all road projects left unfinished by the previous administration and double his efforts toward improving the infrastructure in the State.
“We understand how important roads, healthcare, and education are to your people. That’s why we’re committed to ensuring no community is left behind. We are ready to serve you better and bring meaningful development to every corner of Ose Local Government,” he added.
Governor Aiyedatiwa appreciated their readiness to vote for him in the coming election, assuring them that his administration would remain focused on delivering meaningful progress and sustainable development.
Responding, the Alani of Idoani, Oba Olutoye, and the Onidogun of Idogun, Oba Moses Ekundayo Bakare, called on the government to address the challenges posed by the poor road network in the region. They stressed that inadequate infrastructure has hindered economic activities and access to essential services in their communities.
The monarchs further highlighted the need for improved healthcare facilities, school renovations, and greater political inclusion, urging the governor to ensure that the people of Ose Local Government receive more political appointments.
Expressing their confidence in Governor Aiyedatiwa’s leadership, the monarchs unanimously endorsed him as the most capable candidate to lead the state forward. They pledged unwavering support for his election bid and assured him of their full backing at the polls.
Speaking at the Ose Local Government Secretariat, the Onimoru of Imoru, Oba Rotimi Obamuagun, appealed to Governor Aiyedatiwa to intensify efforts in addressing the security challenges affecting the region.
The monarch emphasized the growing need for improved safety measures, particularly in rural communities, where residents have faced persistent security concerns.
“Farming is a major part of our livelihood, but insecurity threatens both farmers and traders who rely on these activities to survive. We need the government to strengthen security in our communities to protect our people and ensure their peace of mind,” Oba Obamuagun said.
Oba Obamuagun expressed optimism that with the governor’s intervention, residents would feel more secure and empowered to pursue their livelihoods, adding that the people are read to support his election.
In response, Governor Aiyedatiwa assured the monarch and the people of Ifon, Imoru, and neighboring communities that his administration is committed to enhancing security efforts across the region.
“We are strengthening our security architecture, including the Amotekun Corps and other security agencies, to ensure that our communities remain safe and conducive for business and farming,” the Governor stated.
Governor Aiyedatiwa highlighted some of his administration’s achievements, emphasizing the regular payment of workers’ salaries, empowerment programs for artisans and traders, and initiatives to boost local businesses and food security.
Expressing gratitude for the community’s support, the Governor said: “I deeply appreciate your readiness to stand with us. Together, we will build a safer, more prosperous future for Ose and all of Ondo State.”
