The Ondo State Police Command will be using drones in monitoring the ongoing election in the state.
Police image maker, SP Funmilayo Odunlami stated this on Saturday morning in a terse message sent to journalists covering the poll.
“Good morning all, pls help propagate that the police will be using drones in the state, any one who sees this should be rest assured, its the police drone use for monitoring of the election,” the message read.
Over 32,000 police have been deployed for the election, which would take place in 3,933 polling units across the 203 wards in the 18 local government areas.
18 candidates are contesting the election with the APC, PDP, NNPP, SDP and ZLP leading the pack.
