The Commissioner for Information and Orientation in Ondo State, Wale Akinlosotu has expressed confidence that the good God that spared the people’s lives, would make the forthcoming New Year prosperous for them.
Akinlosotu congratulated the people of Ondo State and Nigerians for being part of this year’s Christmas celebrations.
The Commissioner, in a message in the mood of the Yuletide Season, reminded the people that “as you celebrate the Christmas festivities, it behooves you to remember that Jesus Christ, the reason for the season, epitomized love, which our daily lives should manifest.
“It is a season of love and giving. It is a season to care for and remember one another particularly the needy and less-privileged. We should not let the love, care and giving be limited to the season, let us make these virtues permanent in our daily lives so that the world, the country and our state will be a better place for all”.
The commissioner also urged people of the state “to cultivate the habit of tolerance by tolerating one another our different towns, social, economic and religious background notwithstanding.
He said, “As we celebrate this season in joy in our different settings, let us continue to allow the spirit of unity, oneness and peace be our daily guide.
“The government of Lucky Aiyedatiwa means well and it’s on the path of taking the state to greatness. The administration has been demonstrating this with the projects, policies and programmes that have direct positive impacts on the people being implemented since the governor assumed office.
“The government promises more for the different communities and the economy of the state in 2025 as reflected in the 2025 budget newly passed by the state House of Assembly.
“The people of the state should be rest assured of unprecedented developments in terms of execution of new life-transforming projects in the areas of infrastructures, education, health, agriculture, housing, human capital development and other economic sectors and completion of all ongoing ones across the state”.
“While thanking the people of the state for support in the last one year, we wish all of you happy celebrations and prosperous New Year. Celebrate in modesty,” Akinlosotu said.
