The Ondo State Independent Electoral Commission (ODIEC) has commenced the training of qualified ad-hoc staff that would assist the commission during the local government elections scheduled for Saturday, January 18, 2025 in the state.
The ODIEC’s Department of Operations had in a statement on Monday, signed by the Commission’s Press Officer, Mrs Bisi Lawani, disclosed that the training for successful applicants for the positions of returning officers and electoral officers, would take place on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at the Commission’s headquarters on Oba Ile Road, Akure.
The statement added that the training for ward returning officers is scheduled for Wednesday, 8 January 2025, at the 18 local government areas, while presiding officers, assistant presiding officers, poll clerks, and assistant poll clerks will be trained on Thursday, 9 January 2025.
