An ace educationist in Ondo state, Alhaja Khadijat Adebumiti has been appointed Matron of the Muslim Ladies Circle of Nigeria (MULCON).
At an event organised by MULCON at the Akure Central Mosque, Akure, the Ondo state capital at the weekend, the retired English Teacher and ‘Otun Iya Adinni’ of Ijare land was honoured alongside some Muslim personalities for their contributions to knowledge and development of the Muslim faithful in the state.
Others honoured were, former National President of the Muslim Students Society of Nigeria (MSSN), Alhaji Sirajudeen Abdulazeez, founder of At-Tanzil foundation, Alhaji Ajiboye Lagbaji, popular TV host, Alhaji Ibidapo (Haji International) and Professor of Chemistry at the Federal University of Technology Akure, Prof. Ishaq Adekunle Amoo.
MULCON – a non-governmental organisation was founded 15 years ago by Alhaja Faozat Gidado. Apart from honours bestowed on some Muslim personalities at her 15th anniversary, MULCON also used the opportunity of the occasion to empower some women and the less privileged.
