The re-election bid of the speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly got a boost at the weekend as members of the People’s Democratic Party PDP and Zenith Labour Party ZLP defected to the All Progressives Congress APC in Ifedore local government area of the state.
Receiving the defectors in Ikota, Ifedore Council Boss, Hon Alex Oladimeji assured them that their interests would be taken care of in the APC.
Hon Oladimeji reminded them on the need and benefits in voting for Rt. Hon. Oleyelogun on March 9, saying the elusive position of the speaker must not elude Ifedore Council area.
“I must say that the APC is a party to beat in Nigeria for now and the result is what you have all seen in the last Presidential and National Assembly elections held on February 23.

In the same vein, former chairman of the council, Idowu Adebusuyi said he joined the APC because of the numerous infrastructure embarked upon by the Akeredolu-led government in the state.
