UNIMED: Group Hails Oleyelogun Over Ekundayo’s Appointment

A group of concerned indigene of Ifedore local government area of Ondo state has described the appointment of Dr Woleola Ekundayo as the new Registrar, University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), Ondo by Governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu as an act of God.

The group expressed its appreciation to God who made the appointment possible in a statement made available to The Precision NG in Akure, the state capital.

The group also hailed the commitment of the speaker of the state, Rt. Hon. Bamidele Oleyelogun for ensuring that another Ifedore kinsman got a top appointment in the Akeredolu’s administration.

“The appointment is a pleasant surprise because it is a manifestation of the truism of the adage that in any meaningful human endeavour, it is not just how long but how well. After all, it is virtually impossible to separate the man from his deeds.

The group prayed for God’s wisdom to guide Dr Ekundayo in his new assignment.

It equally thanked Mr speaker for his commitment towards the development of Ifedore council area and described the appointment of Dr Ekundayo as UNIMED Registrar as a function of his good representation.

“It is on the record that Mr Speaker has influenced employment of more than sixty two (62) sons and daughters of Ifedore into various positions in the ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs) since assumption of office as the Speaker Ondo state House of Assembly.

“He influenced the total renovations and rehabilitation of virtually all primary and secondary schools in Ifedore LG Government.

“He was cap at hand to draw the  attention of Mr Governor to the construction and rehabilitation of Isarun – Igbara oke – Ibuji road networks.

“In 2019 he commissioned Best Solution Polytechnic, Akure to train 200 sons and daughters of Ifedore in various skills acquisition for two months. He gave all of them capital to start small scale businesses 

“He also gave foods and clothes to Widows and physically challenged just to mention but a few. This is very historic and unprecedented in the history of Ifedore local government.     

“Today Ifedore is proud of Mr Speaker’s performance as the leader of Ondo 9th Assembly. May God  grant  him undeserved mercy to paddle  the canoe of the Assembly to safety shore without any catastrophe,” the statement read.
