An aspirant for the position of Governor under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo state, Hon. Isaac Kekemeke says if elected in the October guber election, he would recall students of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko (AAUA) who dropped out following an increment in the tuition fees of the institution by the Akeredolu-led government to complete their academic.

Hon. Kekemeke who is contesting under the brand “Leke-Leke” stated this during a media parley with online media practitioners in Akure.

He added that it is totally unacceptable for citizens of the state to drop out of school owing to high tuition fee, adding that there would be a radical review of the tuition fees been charged in the four tertiary institution of the state.

According to him, the media parley became imperative in order to inform the public about what his campaign office has been doing in the last one year.

He said, “Leke-Leke has organised over 1,000 meetings and have been to all the 18 Local Government Areas of the state. We have also had one on one meetings with over 4,000 residents of this state. With the pre-field interactions done so far, we can assure you that the Leke-Leke brand is an acceptable one”.

He noted that the government has been far away from the people under the present administration though he acknowledged the fact that Akeredolu is working hard.

Hon. Kekemeke disclosed that his cardinal programmes would come under the Leke-Leke Development Goals, adding that he remains the only contestant with the knowledge of the grassroots in the state.

“I have lived here since 1991 and I am permanently resident in the state. I am the only one contesting this position that has the resume of working in all the three tiers of government.

“As part of our development goals, we will reintroduce free and compulsory education in the state. We need to reinvent the Awolowo and Ajasin spirits by investing heavily in Education.
