The All Progressives Congress (APC) governors like Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti state and Godwin Obaseki have gone on self Isolation having met with Abba Kyari and Bala Mohammed.
However, when he was asked by journalists on his rumoured self-Isolation, Akeredolu smiled and jokingly responded that “if I am on self Isolation, will I be here to address you.”
At the press briefing were the Secretary to the State Government, Sunday Abegunde; Head of Service, Dare Aragbaiye; the State Commissioner for Information, Donald Ojogo; the Governor’s Chief of Staff, Olugbenga Ale and SA on Health matters, Dr Jibayo Adeyeye.
On the enforcement of the market closure order, the governor was briefed by the Commissioner of Police who expressed the readiness of the command to enforce the coronavirus orders that affect markets, beer parlours, joint/night clubs and other gatherings with more than 50 people.
Undie vowed that henceforth anybody who is not selling medicine or food items and water would be arrested at markets while those operating beer parlours, joints and night clubs would not be spared in the clampdown.
