If the news the camp of the governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo state, Eyitayo Jegede is anything to go by, then the Senior Advocate of Nigeria will tomorrow (Monday) name his running mate.
Top among the names emanating from Jegede’s camp are Rep. Gboluga Ikengboju Dele, Hon. Benson Amuwa and Mrs. Banke Sutton.
There is also indication that Jegede may be pressured by the party leaders to pick the current deputy governor of the state, Agboola Ajayi who came second during the PDP primaries.
Another option is one of the governorship aspirants, Banji Okunomo.
All the politicians tipped for the deputy governorship position are from Ondo South senatorial district, The Precision NG can understand.
Ondo South was tipped to produce the running mate because it is considered as the stronghold of the PDP, Nigerian Cable News reports.
