Emmanuel Alayande College of Education has achieved full accreditation of all the academic courses in the institution.

According to the College Provost, Dr Rasak Adefabi, the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE) was in the College between May 6 and 11, 2018 to carry out both the institutional and academic programme accreditation of the College.

“The success story was that at the end of the exercise, both the institution and the 28 academic programmes were awarded full accreditation status,” he said.

“This is a remarkable success in the history of the College and has no doubt placed the College among the best College of Education in Nigeria and the best five (5) Colleges of Education in the African Continent in line with its Vision. By this unprecedented feat, the College has received the NCCE’s nod to run all the 28 academic programmes for the next five (5) years.

“The College is now eminently placed in the preparation of highly qualified professionals to serve as teachers, administrators, supervisors, counsellors and other professionals in educational settings, communities, industry and human service agencies.

“It is pertinent to state that the rapid development and progress recorded in the College which culminated in this overwhelming feat was as a result of the supports of the Oyo State Government ably led by His Excellency, Senator Isiaq Abiola Ajimobi, the indefatigable 13th Governing Council headed by Dr. Sulleiman Adediran…,” the provost noted.

The College also appreciated the contributions of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) in the areas of infrastructural development, capacity building and provision of the state-of-the-arts instructional materials which facilitated the success achieved in the accreditation of the College’s 28 academic programmes. The College is hopeful to continue to benefit from the Fund’s benevolence.

The Provost congratulated the entire college community, the amiable and supportive Management, resourceful and hardworking college staff and the students on the landmark achievement.
