The Ondo State House of Assembly says Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN is changing the narratives in the state with the take off of the Ondo-Linyi Industrial hub at Ore.
The House noted this on Friday while on a visit to the Industrial Hub.
Speaking on the sidelines of the tour, the Speaker, Rt Hon. Bamidele Oleyelogun who led the team said the state is proud of Governor Akeredolu for having the will to industrialise the state, adding that the House will continue to provide the enabling environment for the development of the state.
“For years now industrialization and creation of employment in Ondo State had been in Comatose, with youth unemployment escalating, while Internal Revenue Generation was very low.
“Amazingly, the government of Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu Aketi, SAN, is performing extremely well in Revenue generation and working wonders by creating employment.
“With what I have seen here, he has created lots of employment for our youths that roam the streets aimlessly, thereby dealing with idleness and underutilization of human and natural resources, as well as creating more income for the growth and development of the State. Little wonder the state rank tops in the group of states with a dramatic upward shift in Internally generated revenue (IGR), as compared to the previous years.
“Visibly, it is deducible that the economy of this immediate environment has changed and there is a positive short and long run transformation in all spheres of the community.
“Arakunrin Akeredolu is a performer, a social transformer and a great achiever.
“He is an industrialist and an astute change agent.
“Noteworthy is the zeal, ingenuity and diligence of Arabirin Betty Anyanwu Akeredolu, the wife of the Ondo State Governor, for her commitment and outstanding complementary support of her husband, towards charting a great course in the State.
“As I salute the sagacity and effrontery of the government for this laudable project, I advise the government not to relent in providing more of such outstanding projects, and for government of other States to emulate this giant stride efforts towards the growth of our society at large,” Oleyelogun said.
The different factories making up the Industrial hub are:
The thread spinning factory
The fabrics producing factory
The paper pulp mill
The ethanol plant among others.
