May Day: Hon. Borokini Lauds Indefatigable Workers In Ondo State

Member Elect, Ondo State House of Assembly representing Akure South Constituency I, Honourable Simeon Toluwani Borokini on Monday joined other world leaders in celebrating workers at different levels in the society as the world celebrates International Labour Day.

In a statement in Akure by his media aide, Ayobamiji Komolafe, Mr Borokini stated that May 1st has been dedicated across the globe as the International Labour Day to commemorate the efforts of hardworking workers in organisations, companies, factories, and sites towards ensuring stable economy and improved manpower in the society for the benefit of all.

Hon. Borokini celebrated workers in Ondo State who have made indelible achievements in the State stressing that their labour will not go unrewarded.

He emphasised the importance of workers in the State noting that they contribute on a large scale in ensuring the prosperity, strength, and wellbeing of the societies they belong and the country at large.

“On the occasion of this historic event, Honourable Borokini assures the workers on enactment of enabling laws that will give ample opportunities for the Labour Union in the State to thrive and one that guarantees better welfarism and improved living standard for the workers in the State,” the statement read.

He further pleaded with the Nigerian Labour Congress and Trade Union Congress members in the state to continue in their unalloyed and unwavering support for the State Government so as to help foster the existing mutual relationship between the Government and the workers.
