The Facebook Account of the Ondo State Deputy Governor, Hon. Agboola Ajayi, with the account name AGBOOLA ALFRED AJAYI has been hacked by internet fraudsters.
According to a statement by the Deputy Chief Press Secretary, Office of the Deputy Governor, Mr Leke Akeredolu read:

“From available information, these criminals have been using the Facebook account Messenger of AGBOOLA ALFRED AJAYI to chat with unsuspecting Facebook users on the pretense of rendering assistance for them to secure government contracts.”
“We have also been informed that these hackers had successfully collected millions of naira from some innocent Nigerians.
Let me empathically say that the Deputy Governor of Ondo State has no link with such fraudulent act because he does not chat with people on social media and he did not authorize anyone to act on his behalf.
Relevant security agencies have been appropriately alerted to investigate the unfortunate incident and, accordingly, apprehend the perpetrators of the scam.
We hereby urge members of the public to be wary and endeavor to verify the authenticity of whosoever they are chatting with on social media in order to avoid being duped.” The statement said.
