The Cocoa Farmers Association of Nigeria (CFAN) has applauded the appointment of Mohammed Sabo Danono and Mustapha Baba Shehuri as minister of agriculture and state minister of agriculture respectfully.
In a congratulatory message signed by the President of the association, Comrade Adeola Adegoke said the appointment of the duo is greeted with warmth heart from all the millions of cocoa farmers dotted all over the federation with a great expectations.
According to the cocoa association boss, the stage is set for the new appointees to work in a collaboration with the CFAN at making Nigeria taking a pride place amongst comity of nation’s in cocoa production globally.
Adeola posits that as all arrangements are in top gear at hosting the first cocoa farmers day at Ibadan,Oyo state capital in October 2019 , this event according to him is packaged to make a robust collaboration with cocoa farmers across the length and breadth of the country with other relevant stakeholders globally towards high productivity of cocoa , giving livelihoods to cocoa farmers and getting a database across cocoa communities in the country.
He however solicits for the support and cooperation of all stakeholders at making reality the events and at the same time, all the cardinal points mentioned, which he noted will be a great legacies for the cocoa farmers and the country as a whole.
