Summer School: Hon. Borokini Empowers Ondo Students

The one month free summer and vocational school organised by the Lawmaker representing Akure South Constituency I and the Chairman House Committee on Education, Science and Technology, Hon Simeon Toluwani Borokini has finally come to a close with a grand finale ceremony and scholarship presentation to the participants.

The programme tagged “Echoes and Voices” is coming after a qualitative coaching, adequate skills acquisition programme and basic ICT training have been offered to secondary school students in various classes from different schools in Akure, Ondo State.

Borokini in his speech appreciated the huge turnout of the students as well as their commitment and support from their parents which he described as the best compensation for the money spent on the training.

While sharing their experiences and appreciating the Hon. Borokini for such timely training, the participants recounted how beneficial the summer school was and the diverse ways it has helped place them for effective competition among their equals. \

Similarly, some of the parents of the participants laud the generosity exhibited by Hon Borokini in putting such programme in place and for extending the dividends of democracy to the students.

The highlight of the summer school programme are, training on different academic subjects, Skills acquisition, ICT training, award and Scholarship presentation. The event was graced by top notched politicians in the state, Akure South APC members and a host of others.
